THE DATE FOR THE SPRING DIVISION MEETING HAS BEEN CHANGED TO APRIL 4, 2026 AT THE ELLE TOWNE COMMUNITY CENTER. THE DOORS WILL OPEN AT 9: OO AM. Admission is $10.00. LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE ARIZONA DIVISION.
PROGRAM
Keith Pashina is going to tell us about the Colorado Gold and Silver Mines and the Railroads that served them. We will learn about prototype mines and operations, and how they could be modeled. With the variety of mining structures, terrain, and colorful history, there is a seemingly a prototype for everything.
Keith has been modeling narrow gauge since the 1970’s. His interest has always leaned to short 2’ or 3’ narrow gauge lines serving mining areas in Colorado. He recently moved to Tucson from Minnesota and is now staring to get very interested in southwest narrow gauge lines.
Greg Carr and Didrick Voss will give us a presentation on 3D Printing as it relates to model railroading. They will tell us about the various ways to create objects to be printed and how slicing is used to prepare the objects for printing. Also, they will show us the actual process of 3D printing.
Greg and Didrick have both been involved in 3D printing over the last several years and have their own printers or access to a printer. Over time and self-taught, they both have become proficient with the process.
Paul Chandler’s presentation looks at a couple of dozen well known common standards through the lens of how the Southern Pacific did it, and how you can model these standards to bring the utmost fidelity to your lineside infrastructure.
Paul is known locally for his layout, modeling the Southern Pacific in the Central Valley of California. His craftsmanship is superb.
PEOPLES CHOICE CONTEST

There will be awards for each category and also for Best of Show. First Place models from previous NMRA sponsored contest are ineligible.
The category for LEVITY will be HEAVY WEIGHT.
